Anthony Mangione teaches the lean way of thinking
about lean performance measures. Many traditional
operating performance measures were useful for the
traditional factory and even then were lagging in such
timing as to make them ancient history. This workshop
is not taught anywhere else in the United States.
Tony Mangione has been consulting with many corporations
nationwide for fifteen years and is a former
accounting executive for General Motors.

overview of the details of the evolution of the

Root Cause Analysis: Human Error
Reduction
November 17‐18
$795 per person
Steve Eisenhart practices as an expert witness for
many courtrooms across the United States, identifying
root cause responsibility for industrial accidents and
catastrophes. Most quality problems, accidents and
mistakes of omission occur in the workplace due to
human error. This workshop presents a detailed process
for identifying root causes of problems and how to
evaluate the supervision of the workplace. This workshop
supports continuous improvement in the workplace
and on the shop floor and presents a thorough
understanding of root cause problem‐solving techniques.
Steve Eisenhart consults with many companies
nationwide and is a leading expert in human error reduction.
Advancing Purchasing: New Rules,
New Tools
December 8‐9
$795 per person
Michael Harding teaches the only public lean purchasing
workshop in the United States. A true lean environment
requires a new way of negotiating, new quality
and delivery standards and an entirely new way of
engaging with the supplier. Laws and regulations must
always be complied with, but the relationships, material
flow and response time from suppliers must be
changed to coincide with the lean environment of the
enterprise – even if the material is shipped from
abroad. Harding has a degree in law, an MBA in purchasing
and is the author of three books on purchasing
and supplier service. He has been a purchasing
and acquisition executive for twenty‐five years for
major corporations and a global consultant for fifteen
years.
