Lean 5S+1 System (2 days)

Organization and cLeanliness are the foundation for all processes whether it is in a manufacturing environment or in an office setting. This course provides the real world fundamentals of 5S+1 and visual management. The 5S+1 system is a powerful continuous improvement philosophy that can generate immediate results.  This course provides the information needed to start your 5S+1 program and to make it stick for continued results.

Who Should Attend:  Employees, especially in the transactional/business parts of the organization, who are capable of leading and/or supporting transformation by applying the 5S+1 methods and tools within the organization.

Objective:  This workshop provides employees with the knowledge, skills and experience needed to lead and support transformation at their company by applying the 5S+1 organization methods and tools within the organization. After completing this workshop, the employees will be better prepared to manage the transformation within their unit and to have the skills necessary to perform 5S+1 activities. They will be able to:

1. Assess and establish a baseline for 5S+1 in their work area
2. Improve their work area using the 5S+1 tools and methods learned
3. Set new standards for 5S+1
4. Develop auditing and sustaining tools and systems

Topics:  This workshop presents the basic building blocks of Lean 5S+1 organization methodology and tools for practical application. Following the workshop, participants will maintain and improve the organization, safety and effectiveness of their workplace. In addition to the focus on workplace organization, the participants will gain an understanding of how 5S+1 is integrated to support transformation in their units and at the enterprise as a whole.
