A free one-day introduction to applying Lean process improvement techniques in office environments

Due to popular demand, the Lean Institute has opened up a second session of this class.  If you were unable to register for the September class, there is now space available in the following class:

DATE: November 10, 2009
LOCATION: Stephenson Research Technology Center (www.srtc.ou.edu) Seminar Room
TIME: 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

COST: FREE!
  • Have you ever wondered why your department operates the way it does?

  • Does anyone really understand why some forms need to have seven signatures?

  • How much time do you waste every day going back and forth to that inconveniently located copier?

  • When you turn in an invoice or work order, do you know where it goes next and what you can do to help it get processed more quickly and smoothly?

Lean process improvement techniques have been designed to address these types of problems, making the workplace flow as efficiently as possible by capitalizing on your knowledge of how to best do your job.

Learn the basics of Lean process improvement as they apply to office environments in a free one day workshop offered by the OU Lean Institute. Lean training provides tools that will allow you to transform your organization by learning how to work more effectively.

Lean can help you identify and correct problems such as: redundancy, incorrect work, bottlenecks, or waste through excessive movement. Whatever processes you work with, these tools will help you understand how your department really works and how to make it work better. Save money and work smarter by learning how to identify and eliminate waste!

Anyone who works in an office environment is encouraged to attend, especially office managers and supervisors.  You must register to attend this workshop, which will be held at the Stephenson Research Center Seminar Room. Registration is free, but space is limited to the first 30 applicants. To register for this class or learn more, please contact Marc Jensen at (405) 325-9135 or marc.jensen@ou.edu.
