Lean Employee Introduction (1/2 day or 1 day)

This basic course is designed for those new to Lean and is a basic overview of Lean for your employees.  This program prepares your team to begin the journey into the Lean arena, giving your organization the ability to empower your employees and to set the stage for continuous improvement.

Who Should Attend:  Employees who are responsible for the day-to-day work performed at the company and whose assistance and active engagement is needed to successfully implement Lean strategies.

Objective:  After completing this workshop, employees will be better prepared to participate and assist with the transformation activities within their unit and understand the following:

  • The purpose and goals of implementing Lean strategies within the context of the company
  • A basic understanding of the specific Lean strategies being implemented within the company
  • Recognize own role and importance within the implementation and transformation process
  • Appreciate the importance and results of a Lean project and how Lean, Six Sigma and SCOR tools are integrated to support transformation in their units and at the company

Topics:  This workshop provides employees with the knowledge and skills needed to support transformation at their company by understanding the Lean strategies and enhancing their ability to assist Lean implementers within their organization or work unit.
