The mission of the OU Lean Institute at OU is to provide the highest quality interdisciplinary education to those seeking enterprise-wide transformation of core processes through dynamic, focused professional training.

We support continuous process improvement by providing quality instruction, training and coaching from a cadre of well-educated, highly experienced subject matter experts. These instructors are selected for their demonstrated experience in implementing the Lean, Six Sigma and SCOR techniques in the workplace and their ability to integrate these tools into the holistic approach to transformation.

We tailor our training to the specific needs of every organization that we work with, selecting the tools most appropriate for resolving issues within that organization. Our programs can range in scope from introductory lectures, to continuous training and certification programs and we are happy to fit our services to the needs of our clients.

It is especially notable that the application of our techniques almost always produces results that have the additional benefit of being environmentally friendly, such as reducing energy usage, or eliminating physical paper waste. Whether you see the primary benefit of Lean as monetary or ecological, these resources are closely tied together in applying Lean principles.
