OU Lean Institute Instructors

Demonstrated superior subject matter expertise

OU Lean Institute participantsThe OU Lean Institute’s team of in-state educational institutions, leading practitioners, industry experts, trainers and facilitators represents the leaders in the fields of Lean, Six Sigma and SCOR training. This cadre of instructors has demonstrated superior subject matter expertise and extensive experience in Lean, Six Sigma and SCOR as well as excellent instructional skills.

The instructor corps includes prominent experts in the field of organizational transformation. They blend industry experience with in-depth knowledge. Instructors are specifically selected for their demonstrated experience in implementing the Lean, Six Sigma, and SCOR techniques in the workplace and their ability to integrate these tools into a holistic approach to transformation.

 

Meet Our Lean Instructors

David Campbell has served as a lean/six sigma instructor. He holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering and has completed extensive training in lean/six sigma methodologies. His certifications include green belt, black belt, value stream mapping, Lean cell design and 8D problem solving.

Joyce Hinton has served as a lean/six sigma instructor and coach for the OU Lean Institute’s work with the United States Postal Service. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and has completed extensive training in lean/six sigma methodologies, as well as having extensive experience with both supply chain operations and budgeting.

Michael Kukhta is the OU Lean Institute’s master black belt, who not only teaches the many of the Institute’s green belt and black belt certification programs, but also designs or approves much of the institute’s curriculum. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, a master's degree in quality systems management and a master black belt with a focus in Aerospace Projects. Mr. Kukhta brings his extensive real-world experience in engineering and process improvement to the classroom with a fascination for data and analysis.

Bill Martin is an instructor, coach and mentor for the OU Lean Institute at OU. He has a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in aerospace engineering from OU and holds both green belt and black belt certificates as well. His primary teaching duties include Lean Employee and Six Sigma White Belt courses.

Bill Sampson currently serves as an instructor for the OU Lean Institute at OU. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a master's degree with an emphasis in finance. He is a certified black belt and master black belt, whose primary teaching duties include Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and applications.
